dont they really have
Don’t they really have
in the land where she has gone
such things
as crows?
-
thick necked, shiny, the color of young charcoal,
rarely alone,
feeding on the ground and eating almost anything,
flapping methodically in a way that is rarely broken by glides,
and living with their fledglings
in the deep recesses of thickets and trees,
-
and miserable evenings,
-
and loneliness?
